About

Tommaso Perazzo was born in 1996 in Italy. He started playing piano at the age of 5 years old, showing from the very beginning a strong predilection for jazz and blues, as documented in the video Tommaso Piano Blues.

He continued his music journey at the Amsterdam Conservatorium and he is now studying at the Manhattan School Of Music in New York City.

In 2018, he won the “Award best piano soloist of the Amsterdam Conservatory” and the prestigious “Premio Internazionale Massimo Urbani”, that gave him the opportunity to record his first jazz album “what’s coming next?

In 2020, his project “Tommaso Perazzo Trio” won the Barga Jazz Contest (best Italian emerging Jazz bands), as they “demonstrated a formidable interplay, composition and arrangement”

Influences

In 2020, young jazz musicians have the responsibility to bring the jazz to a new level: a contemporary music that knows no boundaries. Embracing this concept, Tommaso dives into fresh and unexplored musical directions.

His repertoire proposes original compositions based on charming melodies and new arrangements of jazz standards. Echoes of jazz legends (Keith Jarrett – Herbie Hancock), mixed with modern influences (E.S.T, – Brad Mehldau) bring a new breath to his music.
